installed msd box 2-years ago worked great!
now i can,t shut off my engine in my 69-gto.
i checked everything!it,s got to be the box.
what gives?

Did you install the diode in the alternator harness ? I had the same problem with my 69 but it was with initial start up after box installation.

As Berrygoat said, did you install the diode? I had the same problem with an MSD on a '70 GP. There is a diode that I think comes with the MSD-- you need to splice it into one of the wires coming off the voltage regulator. I think terminal 4, but it's been a long time so I'm not sure. Call MSD tech if the instructions don't help.

Just so you know, in case you don't have the correct diode, it takes a 1V/100A diode. You can pick these up at any Radio Shack.

part number is 1N4001.

I would use the 1N4004 for ruggedness.
