I just came across this thread and since it's here for our benefit I figured the guys at EARLY BIRDS here in Toronto Ontario, deserve honorable mention for being an A1 parts supplier,no I don't work there, but I sure buy a lot of stuff from them and have never been dissapointed. 2 thumbs up for the guys at Early Birds.

Excellent to deal with, very knowledgeable, seem to have a handle on very good repo stuff and the worst on line catalog I've ever seen. I still use their paper catalog if I want to find something.

I plan to be dealing with you as soon as this next check comes in....hopefully next week.
Problem I have seen with the site so far, is if you need something specific, you have to use the search, was looking for hood hinges and had to wade through a few area before I finally just did a "Search" . Your areas are not specific enough I guess. Pretty much limited to, Interior, dash, exterior, kits, undercarriage... for the average car guys it is probablly enough, but for dumbas...I mean novices like me I have to really look around! Oh and love your '69 TA kit, can't wait to buy it, but will be another year sadly, but suggested it to several others, and linked your site in a thread about repro TA hoods, just because I was impressed with yours..well, can't wait to do bussiness with you guys...wait! you do take american money right? :Peace: 'eh?

To me I think its how you are treated and how the situation is handled when there is a problem that seperates the good ones. I heard some positive things about Early birds so I thought I would give them a try as I had never purchased from them before. Well my first order had two problems, one was not solved to my liking (had to make another purchase) and the other dragged out for close to two months so I gave up in frustration. Needless to say they will never get my business again.

These are the kind of answers that i think are unfair. Says he had a problem and does not say what it was just that he is not happy. Why not list EXACTLY what your problem was so we can judge who is the problem. Right now to me it looks like you are being a problem by not being clear on what your beaf was. Izzy has always been a good guy. |

I thought Dar's complaint clear and concise. He didn't call them names just said that one part of his order wasn't to his satisfaction and had to go another vendor were he was satisfied and that it took two months to resolve the issue with the other part. From his past negative experience he wouldn't use them again. Nothing unfair about it.
Besides, I personally prefer to do business with business's in the U.S. if possible. ------------------------------------------ Admin5 quote: List your good or bad experiences as a response. Slander or unsubstantiated claims or greivances could be grounds for legal action. ------------------------------------------- This is the first time that I've noticed the PY Administration found it necessary to post a warning at the beginning of a thread about "bad mouthing" a business.....which I found very interesting if not telling. They certainly have not thought it necessary when people discuss Mr. Gulper and his unhappy customers. |

Ok if it was clear then what was his problem ?
I do not see anywhere that he states what the problem is. What part it was ?, What was his complaint ? ALL I CAN SEE IS THAT HE SAYS HE IS NOT HAPPY. Since you can see what his problem was, by what he says in his post fill me in. I do not see any real complaint. I'M NOT HAPPY IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. I NEED TO KNOW THE DETAILS OF THE SAID TRANACTION. With out details how can you or anybody make a fair judgement ? |

His problem was he wasn't satisfied with the product(s) they sold him or the after sale service they provided to resolve problem in a timely manner. I've know Dar to be a reasonable person in the past.
John....maybe that's none of your business. Dar wasn't happy and seems that it took two months to resolve 1/2 of the problem. I would say that taking 2 months for a vendor to fix the problem, what ever it is, is more than to much time. (maybe not for you) Obviously the item that he purchased wasn't suitable and had to go else where to get an item that was suitable. Obviously some other business did meet his expectation, other than Early Bird. |
