Anyone Have experience with The hotchkiss supsension Package for 72 a body? Its the Boxed Control arms with The Hotchkiss 1 inch sway bar.
I was told I need Silicone Grease for the Bushings. I cant find it anywhere At the Auto parts stores. So my question is How does this kit perform On the car {Ie Corners better or?}
Its at My wifes Uncles Garage now and He Shoudl have been already working on it since the car has been there From DEC 2004. I was Just looking for tips or tricks I could pass on With a Small hint Because I NEED to CRUISE Again!

Probably works well. I have a BMR Suspension going in my GTO. I suggest you check them out. You can't go wrong with either but the BMR will save you a few bucks.

I have the BMR upper (non adjustable) and lower tubular control arms with the poly/rubber bushing combination and their rear sway bar on my 69. Going from the stock , completely rotted bushings and control arms and no sway bar to the new set-up was an eye opener. Probably made more difference, seat of the pantswise, than any other modification or repair I've made on my car. And it looks good also........

imo, the best grease for poly bushings is the goop that energy sells. its some kind of nasty, sticky, awful stuff, but boy does it work.

if your arms are like mine, they have zerk fittings, which are sure to get busted off in due time. so, youll need to get a fair amount of the energy lube and hand pack it into a small grease gun. im not aware of energy having the stuff pre-loaded in one.

I use the Hotchkiss lower arms and 4 speed bars on my 70. They are nice and beefy. For uppers I went with Dick Miller's double adjustable pieces. I dumped the factory type sway bar completely in favor of a Dick Miller trunk mounted torsion bar. The ride is firm (200# custom springs and QA-1's set on position 3), but it handles real nice.

Cool some great advice here and help I appreciate it. I really got to get on My guys but here I want the car on the road. Im sick of waiting for it. He had it since December and I dont think Turned one Bolt. Its there For a "Newsed" 411 8.5 tenbolt with a detroit locker
To be put in with The hotchkiss suspension kit Rear only for the kit {the full kit plus swaybar}. The Rear springs which the rears coming out anyway and Shocks all the way around.
Front and Rear Brakes {rear brakes are BRAND NEW shap On old rear end he just has to Swap everything to the New Axles Backing plates and its ready to install!!! I hate waiting so long and Then it will be winter by the time I get to drive it and I wont drive in the salt so Im Screwed!~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I personally think the Global West approach is a better one, poly 'squirms', and at speed on a sweeping turn will allow more oscillation then the sphericals. As for the front uppers, they move around alot, especially under hard breaking. If you've got a pair on a car, look at the bushing and you'll see where it slides to and from. If you want a pair of the hotchkis uppers for a 68-72, for the f-body spindle, I'll sell some cheap. I have 2 pair...

right now the front is all stock with drums. The rear Is getting the hotchkiss rear suspension Kit installed atm. Its the Boxed control arms I added moog springs and a 1" hotchkiss Sway bar. I am interested in those tubular a arms though. Sounds nice. I know Poly has its Drawbacks but every bushing Solid ,rubber, poly has some "problem" with it.
Now You said 2 pair Do I need Upper and Lower tubualr arms or you have 2 sets of Upper arms?

I have 2 pair of the uppers only. New bushings and shafts, no ball joint. They do make lowers, though don't have any spare. These allow the use of a taller spindle, hence, 11 or 12" discs. Go to the Hotchkis site and look at them, it explains.
