I'm done with them. The last 5 sets of rods were not right in some way or another. The last set had to be sent back because 2 of the rods were ten grams light. The replacement set had a tight pin fit (the pin would not go in!)and there was a 4-5 tenths taper across the big end bore AND the big end was 7-8 tenths tight @ the parting line.Using Eagle's rod bolt stretch gauge(a nice simple item BTW)i determined the rods were not torqued up to spec when machined @ Eagle. The Crank for the same project had to have the thrust faces polished and the seal surface polished and the rod juornals were 4 tenths thinner in the center than the sides. Two of the main journals were off center by .002" and the crank had to be ground .010"to get it straight. My crank grinder says it's virtually impossible to grind only two journals off center but there they were!

Not Eagles, but my Scat steel H beams had to have the small end opened up to get the pins in.

Chineese parts = JUNK. Especially the cranks. Ive seen more guys in my area ruin good motors by putting in those junk cranks than I care to know. Yet people still buy them.
