Hi,has anyone out there cut a 65-67 hood ornament to open it up for Ram Air?What is the best way to do this job to assure a quality job?What tools did you use?Did you start at the back and cut forward or vise-versa?How did you smooth out the pot metal?As much info I can get would really be appreciated.Thanks alot All the best bigpop

I have one that is already cut open, but I would try to cut the rough hole with a cut off wheel in a die grinder, then smooth the edges with those little sanding wheels on a Dremel and small files.

Larry ,
I took mine to a machine shop & had them mill it to open it up . A very nice & clean job when I got the piece back . There was no extra work required except for painting .
