Last week I ordered complete floor pans for a 66 GTO from PY, initial order conformation indicate they were in stock and when I got the shipping order on Friday 4/25 they were on back order. BOY, was I bummed out, call Deb at PY on Monday, she checked into it and called me to tell me they were dropped shipped and would be to me by Friday. Well guesse what they got here today 4/27. The exrta mile Deb went to check on them and get back to me, as well as how fast they got here is outstanding. I will call PY tomorrow and tell Deb thanks. We all tend to complain when things go wrong, but seldom tell someone " Thanks" when things go right. Bottom line a BIG THANK YOU to Deb and a word on how great I think PY is. Remember you catch more flies with honey, than vinegar!!!!

Thanks Deb & PY
Larry

Well, I've had the opposite experience. Friday, April 15, 2005, I went online to check on parts and submit an order. Halfway through, site stops responding, time for the phone call. Phone conversation went well, some parts were in stock, some have to come from manufacturer (never asked how those will be shipped) and one part had to come from PYPES warehouse. She stated that the parts would go out Tuesday, April 19, and the PYPES part would come from other warehouse. I guess I thought the warehouse was close by and I asked that all parts be shipped together (except wiring harnesses). Had to make a phone call today, Friday, April 29, to check status of shipment (should have been here by today). Sorry, she says, it will go out today. No phone call or other feedback, nothing. Added with the past PYPES experience, I think it’s time for me to look for another supplier. Maybe, a different site, too.

PY is the best so far for me.
I got everything on my orders.
Only Ames even comes close.
Year One? I gave up on them years ago.
They burned me too many times with the
Parts in stock and then getting 1/2 orders and
the rest on BO and no projected shipping date.
(Makes my Job of getting a customers car done lots harder)

Over the past 12 years of mail ordering parts to include, Ames, Year one, Summit, jegs, PAW and some other small companies I will have to say without a doubt Performance Years and Summit has taken the best overall care of me trying to meet my needs. I can give you stories with each of them but PY and summit are my top 2 companies i spend my money w/.

HFR, Sorry you had a bad experience. Out of all the online orders we process, our online system drops an order around once every two weeks. We're not quite sure why but we think it has something to do with registered orderers trying to use the 'unregistered' order system. My appologies. As far as the slow service is concerned.... I feel for you. It's April, The nice weather in finally here...everyone wants their order NOW! And unfortunately you must have not been advised about our 'slower' service in April. While this is the busiest time of the year, we also attend 3 weeks of shows in the month of April which depletes our office and warehouse staff enough that we can't keep our normal delivery schedules. Again our appologies. This happens every April and there's not much we can do about it. I hope that you will reconsider and not hold this isolated sequence of events against us in the future.

Hey, don't forget I helped you out with quite a few questions at some odd 'off-business' hours. That has to count for something.
