finally, a reward for all the hard work......
man, I don't want to do this anymore.
Next time I think I'll pay someone to paint and buff a car.
I'm getting to old for this.
The final color-sand & buff this weekend.

Show off!

Nice job, Larry.
I always liked the white birds w/ the blue accents better. But that's one's extremely nice in blue.

Larry, What paint did you use to paint those taillight bezels, got an extra set and I like the way the 78 Bezels look.

I used a semi-gloss black at first but then went ahead and applied a clearcoat for the "bling".

Awesome paint job, reflection, depth, etc. But is it the correct color for a 78 ? 78 TA's & Formula,s was called Martinique Blue, a one year only color. Lucerne Blue was for 70-72. Both colors look very close to each other.

Almost forgot, my 78' TA (Martinique Blue) came with the tail light bezels painted the same as the body...blue.

I could have gone M-Blue, but I just wanted to paint the car in Lucy blue.....its just a preference I guess.
Also, I believe that ALL the '78 models had black tail bezels, a prelude to the "blackout" taillenses of '79.
The '77 bezels were exterior body color.
Did you buy your '78 new?
