How can you tell the difference between a GM spoiler from a repo one? Thanks

GM built in pieces so you should be able to see the sections on the underside.

I believe the repops are single pieces so they will be smooth on the underside.

You can see the sections on the originals outlined in the paint (unless of course the wing is goobered with gobs and gobs of paint.)

I think this is the way it is. My spoiler on my car is of the sectioned type.

Ditto what others have said. The originals have visible seams, as well as rivet heads, on the underside of the spoiler. The newest reproductions available, which only came out about six months ago, have the correct section lines, but no discernible rivets. Still, the new repros are a LOT better than the old, and the price beats what a mint original will go for. I have a mint, original-paint 1970-72 spoiler, and I think I'll probably end up buying one of these latest reproductions, and selling my original on ebay. For what they're bringing, I can buy three to four of the repros...

Who makes the best reproduction rear for a `70 - 71? Are they all the same, with The Parts Place distributing to our host and Ames?
