I am in the process of rebuilding my drivetrain. My 400 should be able to put out about 400-425 hp. I wanted to rebuild the 10 bolt rear on my 65 le mans. I wanted a 3.23 posi. Will the 10 bolt be strong enough. Its a street car that will get a few hard starts at a light every now and then. thanks

I have a 10 bolt 4:11 posi behind my 400 and a 350 turbo and haven't had any problem. This is in a 64 Lemans. I,ve been known to get up in it now and then. You might want to add air bags to keep it from hopping around, I did and they sure help.

I know a guy who has a 10-bolt under his 8-second nova. So I'm sure that if you rebuild you 10-bolt it will survive.
