HI,
I would like to know if the head bolts get painted the same color as the engine, on a 66 GTO. Right now the a rusty brown color. Not that I'm going for a perfect resto., but I would like to do it right if I can. Anthony

Yup, the head bolts should be the same color as the rest of the engine. The factory painted the engine after it was all assembled.
The paint tends to burn off, plus it chips off when you tighten them, which is why they often end up looking all rusty. |
