I have known bill on a personal level for years, Knows a ton about power windows, retired gm line mechanic, Great guy talk to him almost daily, Takes his time when working on your parts, but puts out quality. Knows radios too. Not afraid to share a lenghty conversation about the cars and his experience, give him a call

I was reccomended to Bill Merrick many years ago, for repairs to my power windows. Since then, Bill has assisted me in the restoring of a 65 GTO Convert and then last two years a 65 GTO hardtop. He has supplied the power window kit, the tilt columns, am-fm radios, rear power antenna, all the wiring harnesses, and numerous small parts to make the cars very correct. Luckily he lives in the same town and had been able to first help me evaluate the cars (he stopped a couple bad impulse buys) and secondly he has done much of the mechanical work on two cars , always stressing what is correct for like factory work. Bill does take a lot of time on some parts but they are never junk and look better the new. Second to Bill has been Mike Wasson. Mike has been done great work on my two Tri Powers and become a good friend also. Bill, like John do a lot resorted patrs but better yet they know where to go or who to got to if they don't have it.

I just saw this thread. I recently bought a rare 1969 GTO cornering lamp set-up from Bill Merrick. He restored them completely. They look better then new. He also supplied me with all the other parts needed to install and make them function properly.

Bill rebuilt my power antenna a few years ago and recently rebuilt a spare power top switch. Both were rebuilt to perfection and work great.

Just picked up my 69 GTO power antenna set up, stereo multiplex radio, power flow ventilation system, power seat, power windows, and tilt wheel.
He restored them perfectly - and even had the complete set ups. They look better then new. He is one of the few who have the knowledge to restore these items to excellent working order (i.e. better then new). He is starting to run low in power options. They seem to be harder to find with time. aw |
