Have been having problems with the 80lb oil pressure senders in my '67. Now on my third, they seem to work OK for a while then suddenly go haywire. One registered lower than correct pressure the other two always read 70-80 psi. Verified with an Autometer mech gauge. I'd like to check out the circuitry from the sender to the gauge so I need to know for the dash unit what is the resistance is at 20, 40 and 80 psi? Who makes a reliable sender for the factory 80 psi oil pressure gauge?

IMO I don't think there is a reliable sender for the OEM gauge. While examining those in the past, the movement was very sloppy and inaccurate. Perhaps high pressure drove the movement to maximum and damaged it. You can take it apart & check, and perhaps even tighten up the slop in the mechanism.
