Hey guys and gals, we have another friend in the parts and equipment business. I purchased some parts from none other than our own Scott Esterle, who works at Summit. The parts arrived without problems, on time as promised, and the pricing was great. Kudos to Scott and Summit!!!!
Thanks Scott. Ron [ August 22, 2002, 08:59 PM: Message edited by: Ron ]

I don't know Scott, but I have dealt with Summit for many years (and spent many $$$ there). Has always been a positive experience - speedy service & helpful staff! If you need anything from the aftermarket (something that one of our engine builders can't provide), Summit is the place to go!

I also know, that is not common to get thanked for doing a good job. Question for you Scott... Do you get paid a commission or bonus on your parts sales? If so, how can we get to you when we order? If someone's going to make money on my order, I would just as soon it go to a Pontiac guy, especially one that has done a good job for others on the board. |

Scott is a good and knowledgable person, willing to help anyone!
There is also a very knowledgable source at Summit Tech Line ( ext. 6632) that goes by TB (Terry Ballenger). He has been Pontiac for more than 40 years and was a 'wrench' at Knafel/Anderson Pontiac during the racing years. He worked on all of the 'Tin Indian' cars and helped Merle Green locate parts for the restoration of the 66 car. Merle Green acknowledged this in the recent article on his car. Terry owns the 60 SD car that was owned by Pete Seaton. It is the blue 60 car that appears in Wangers' poster with the Royal car.He had it at Norwalk on Saturday, on the show side. Between Scott and Terry, Summit has the Pontiac crowd covered. Jerry |

Scott has been working with me to get the new Edelbrock # 5450 Dual Quad intake, the old P-65. This manifold was supposed to be released on the 23rd of this month and won't be, so we can't get a price yet because it has not been released yet. My guess is it will be about the same price as the Victor, and the fact that it's a pontiac it will cost more than the other Dual Quad intakes. I purchased two new Edelbrock # 1405 carbs, the # 4235 air cleaner, the # 8088 fuel line kit, and the # 7094 linkage so i am ready to go but no manifold. I received an e-mail from Edelbrock on Aug 21st and i was told ( I SHOW A FINISH DATE OF SEPTEMBER 6TH 2002. THE REASON FOR THE DELAY IS THAT WE HAD TO GO BACK AND DO SOME REENGINEERING ON THE HEIGHT OF IT SO THE CARBS WILL BOLT DOWN AND THE LINKAGE WILL CLEAR ). That is the latest news on this intake if any of you are waiting for it like myself. As soon as it is released, Scott will get one to me.

I know that this is an older topic now, but I don't look at this forum very often. I have bought a lot of engine parts from Scott. He goes the extra mile. I had a machine shop mess up a rod during resizing. They tried to say it was ok, I said BS. I was telling Scott about it and he said he had one laying around. He sent it to me no charge. He always has time to discuss things with you as well.
Thanks Scott.
