I am having a problem trying to find someone to balance 64 8 lug wheels , I am in the southern Mass. area . What type of machine is used ,dynamic,bubble. Any input is welcomed

I have never balanced 8-lug Pontiac wheel but I have balanced 5-lug VW wheels which are similar in that they don't have a round center section. For those wheels there was an adapter that the shop I was working at had to bolt the wheel to allow them to be used on the balancer. However you should be able to use the center section of the wheel. If memory serves the 8-lug wheel center section has a 5-lug bolt pattern making the 8-lug wheel basically a two piece wheel. The two pieces should be balanced together.
If that does not work try a shop that sells tires for large trucks. Trucks have all sorts on wheel types and odds are they will have a way to mount you wheels to a balancer.

I think the aftermarket shops like PY sell the balance plate.Tom

You can balance the rear drum and wheel/tire together, but not the front. You will need the adapter plate sold by Ames and others.

every so often I see plate for balancing 8 lugs on ebay . i bought one and it works great.
