Here is the combo:
468 (4.185 x 4.25) Rpm intake Slightly prepped E-heads Crower Hyd. 236/242 about .550" lift with 1.6 roller rockers on 108 lsa 850 HP series Carb Would the Hooker Super Comps be too big with 2" primaries for my application? Also, this combo will get some spray, and larger cam later on down the road.... Would the large primaries be something I could "grow" into, or am I better off looking for a 1 7/8" hedman? thanks, George Hill

I would have to say thay you shouldn't have any problem running the 2" primaries.

With the plans for additional mods to the engine I think you should just go ahead and get the 2" primary headers. With the current setup 1.875" primaries are probably optimal but why spring for 2 sets if you don't have to.

Tough question.
The cam is the Intake bottleneck. Since the Cam ovelap is low, you will have less sensitivity to EXH system woes. 1.65 rockers on both, and the 2"primaries will be OK. Headpipe and muffler system will need critical design to work with 2"Primaries. 1.63 1 5/8" good to 11.0 @ 123MPH 1.76 1 3/4" bigger 1.88 1 7/8" bigger yet 2" biggest Small Primaries preserve EXH velocity, allowing less sensitivity to "full exhaust system" restrictions downstream.
