Does anyone have dynomax ultraflo mufflers. Just wondering how they would sound, i have a 455 in a 1980 trans am. Any other nice sounding mufflers i would, appreciate it. trent

I have them on my car with a 3" X into 2 1/2 17219 ultra flows ...2 1/2 tails ...Love the sound!!!!

I've got the 3 inch ultraflows on my 65 Lemans with a healthy 467. Sounds great. I'd buy them again.

Yea I know It,s one of those "F-en Flowmaster Guys" But I used the Ultraflows as one of my MANY Mufflers I Tested looking for the "RightSound"
Turns out Flowmaster Super 40's sound great on a heathly street engine. Idle is intoxacating with a cam. Cruising is a true deep dark muscle car sound with little to no drone. And WOT sounds like Superstock. Maybe that's why there is so many of us "Flowmaster Guys"

Can someone try to describe the sound of the ultraflows?
How loud at idle, cruise, heavy accereration? I want something that sounds healthy, but not obnoxious, and none of the dreaded drone. Thanks! |

Alright, thanks guys for all your help. I ordered a pair of them just yesterday from summit, and they have a $50 rebate for each muffler. Ill reply back as soon as i get them on. trent

I jumped on this deal as well. Ordered 2 dynomax ultraflos 2 1/2" and after rebate they will cost me under $ 50.00 and that is mufflers
and shipping. They can't belevie this deal as well, but its true.

They told me to go to www.dynomax.com and click on the "Add some Power" icon on the left side of the page. There it will show a printable form to get your rebate. If your mufflers were bought between May 1st and June 30th 2005. You can get 2 rebates on dual exhaust vehicles. They also have a rebate on the Super Turbo's part #'s 17662-17799 of $25.00 per muffler. You can call Dynomax at 1-800-218-1596 for more info...

Is there a sound difference between the Ulta Flo SS and Ultra Flow Welded mufflers if you buy the same size for each? Or is the only difference between the two the material the case is made out of (steel vs. stainless steel)?
Per the Dynomax website, the ulta flow ss's have a $75 rebate too!
