i have a 69 gto, the engine is now to tall to fit under the stock hood, i need to find a hood with some sort of cowl or scoop that is at least 2-3 inchs taller than the stock, fiberglass or steel what ever is cheaper.

Copy that silky! I to am looking for a cowl induction hood for my 69 GTO in fiberglass. I would also consider a flat Lemans/Tempest hood where a cowl could be added.I would prefer a pin on but would consider a bolt on. I have a VFN fiberglass GTO bolt on on my car now that I will sell when I get the replacement hood. Thanks, WALT

i cant find a single hood that bolts on like stock!
i was wondering if a chevelle hood would fit...but i dont think so. i would rather have a bolt on hood, i dont want to have to cut/work on the either, just a bolt on hood that will fit my 455 w/ victor intake and holley hp 950. silky58 p.s. walt take a look at these for pin ons. http://www.up22.com/falcongto.htm#FA-486 |

VFN fiberglass in Addison IL. or Glasstek in Naperville IL. If they dont have what you need they can make it.
Good Luck, Tom |
