hi, i'm a new member and a new owner. the first question i have is. is there such a thing as too big a sway bar for the front and rear. i now see 1 5/16" frt and 1" for the rear. will this slide me out of my seat? question two. does anyone have expierence with quick ratio steering boxes and pumps. i have read about a company that custom builds units for cars. thanks, rob

Rob, welcome to the gang! I pulled the quick ratio steering box from a 70 TA and installed on my 67 Lemans with my stock pump. BIG improvement, handles much better with a closer turning radius. Any gearbox off of 2nd Gen TAs will bolt right up, good way to save some bucks!

Welcome aboard!

Do a search thru the Suspension topic. There's much info there on these very issues. Both are very worthwhile upgrades. I've done 'em both, although I didn't go the scrounger route. Now I wish I had, I could've saved some dollars.

Good Luck,

Kirk

well i put a giant front sway bar on last week. when i drove the car i thought it must be someone else's vehicle. the front end was really tied down. the car is so big it just doesn't seem like it should turn so well. soon i will get the giant back one and heavy duty coils on the back. right now it has iar shocks, and with eighty psi it is pretty firm. thanks for the input, rob
