I changed my 67 GTO dash to a Rally Guage
dash with the correct harness. There are some pin changes that need to be done at the harness block. Does anyone know which pins need to be changed ? Bob Vidan responded to my original post, I didn't indicate that I changed the harness as well. Thanks Bob Marty

Never heard of any pins having to be changed. If you changed harness's, you've changed the fuse block also. (since it is integrated.

On the engine side of the harness block there
are two cables that plug in to harness block. There are open pins on the block, I heard from a friend who has a 68 GTO that he had to move pins on the harness block. I'm am confused. Now the gas guage tach and temp do not work. Walt ------------------

My '67 wiring diagrams do not specifically show the wiring of the Rally gauges, but from the engine side of the harness, the collant sensor, oil pressure sender, etc. are a one-wire hookup regardless, I would imagine that the factory would use the same terminals in the bulkhead connector for either idiot light senders or the gauge senders. I'll keep looking for a more definite explanation, but it does not seem to explicitly be in the Service Manual. BTW, the fuel gauge wiring certainly should be no diffferent.
Regards, George

1968 was a whole different story. In 1968-72 GTOs you have to swap wires at the plug(block) behind the dash to convert from standard to Rally.

For a car with rally gauges, in 1965 they used a separate "jumper" harness on top of the standard dash harness, in 66 AND 67 the rally gauge factory cars had a completely different dash wiring harness, including the fuse, block which is part of the complete dash harness assembly. IN 1968 they had a different harness, BUT a non-rally gauge one can be easily converted to rally style buy changing 2 of the wires in the plug-in connector, reason being the pathways of the printed circuit are different on the backside of the cluster from standard gauges to the rally option. In 65, 66 and 67 there was NO printed circuit just a lot of wires and lamp bulb sockets, they went to printed circuits to save money and also make it easier to remove the cluster anytime in case you needed service work.
