I have a 67 Catalina that I want to put 6x heads on, to lower the C.R. on. The heads are off of a 78 Tran Am. Can I use the pushrods off of the 67 or the 78? The 6x's have been milled only as much to get a true flat surface.(very little)
Don't blame me cause your chevy broke down, you should have bought a PONTIAC!!

The pushrods need to match the heads used, so use the '78 400 pushrods.
1967 was a transition year, '67 engines with #670 and #061 heads used the longer 9.145" '67 and later pushrods. The other '67 engines with the earlier style (different valve angle) #140, #141, #142, and #143 heads used the shorter '61 -'66 8.715" pushrods.
