I'm changing the color of the interior of my '62 Catalina and want to know if I have to pull the windshield to paint the dash. I thought a smaller touch-up gun might work. I sure don't want to have to pull the 'shield....just know I'll nick it with the clip removal tool and see cracks moving all over the place. Been a long time since I've tried this and don't want to mess up my perfect tinted windshield. If it does have to come out can I use the new adhesives to reset it? Thanx, Doug.

If you pull the windshield your dash will look better when you paint and detail it . Every dash I have done , the windshield always came out . Also the dash boards were striped of everything ie dash pads , instruments , grab bars , etc . Now that everything is off you can detail it for installation .

Doug,
Call an auto glass company and ask them to remove the glass and replace it once your done painting. The cost should be less than $100.
