Starter Solnoid heat soak. Move or shield the solnoid.

I wired in a remote solnoid(by-passed the one on the starter), didn't work. Tried heat shielding it, didn't work.
Finally broke down and bought an IMI High Torque Starter. PROBLEM SOLVED !!!

idle & primaries are too lean. Richen them for cooler idle&cruise.

check oil and coolant level.

run a factory flex fan. No clutch or aftermarket stuff. Assume you have a good fan shroud..

Starter mating surfaces need to be filed clean of runt and paint for good ground path.

Solenoid gets blame...I say naw. Replace questionable battery cables & locate the BATT NEG cable to the lower Transmission Bellhousing bolt.

Oh, It'll start.
