Default LT1 Caprice rears

Hi, In the last couple of weeks I've seen 2 1996 LT1 caprices go through the local pick and pull, both cars were equipped with posi and 4 wheel disk brakes. What I am wondering is is the rearend in these cars the same as the 8.5" 10 bolt in our second gen T/A's and if so would I be able to use the rear disc setups, posi, and master cylinder/combo valve on a second gen Bird? Also I think the front discs on these cars are bigger than what came on the second gen's so could the spidles/discs be converted over?

-Besides coil spring attachment, this Caprice rear is slightly wider than 2nd Gen T/A. Been a while since I compared axles between each, but the Caprice axle is close to 3/16" longer than 2nd Gen F-body.
-'88.5+ axles will be 30 spline c-clip design with 5 on 5 bolt pattern.
-Posi will be light duty Auburn.

On '96 Caprice rear disc calipers would have to examine them to see what they were, but doubt they will work. PBR's off late 90's Camaro's & Birds make for a cleaner swap on 2nd Gen Birds.

Off the front, can pop the spindles, if you desire to go tall spindle-1LE rotor route. Make sure they are not scored where the bearings ride. Good luck.

The calipers have PBR made in australia cast into them here is a pic and the discs are the parking brake in drum style If the caprice rear is a true 8.5" then the caliper brakets should bolt up shouldn't they?
