Post 74 Crank Strength
Would a 77 400 crank that is crack free survive in a 600 horse motor being spun to 6000, if every thing else is capable? I heard that all cranks built after 74 werent as strong as the early ones. Is that true?
Would I be better off finding a pre 74 crank. Last edited by goatroper; 09-24-2005 at 01:42 PM. |

I personally would look for an earlier crank; they are fairly easy to come by. And remember you can also use a 350 crank as long as you are balancing everything
