My TA has the wrong door panels in it. I don't have the money right now to get the right ones, so I'm cleaning up and reinstalling the '72 panels. The lower ones are slightly warped along the upper edge wherever there's a screw. I'm thinking about taking a heat gun to them, just enough to soften them a bit and take the waves out. Has anyone else ever tried this?

I've done it with decent results. The best way that I've found is to clamp long flat rigid metal strips on both side with some clamps. That holds it in the position you want it, just make sure you dont get it to hot. In Phoenix you can just leave them outside for a summer. LOL

Thanks azbirds, I'll give it a shot. I've been to Phoenix in the summer...left tire prints (and foot prints) in the asphalt too. I imagine one sunny afternoon would soften these panels almost to jelly. Not that hot here tough...heat gun here I come.
