Default Looking for A shop to rebuild my '67 400

Hi all!
I live in Central Jersey(Whiting). I have someone I was planning to use, but have become a little uneasy after talking with the owner. I was wondering if there are any reputable machine shops in New Jersey someone could recommend. The rebuild will be to lower the compression ratio to use pump(9-9.5:1), and give me a little bit more performance then the old girl has now.

Thanks again

hog - I second what Jagtec said and add Jim Taylor Engine Service also. Either one can get the job done.

I used Greene's Performance Auto in Red Bank, NJ (732-842-4383) to rebuild my '67 400. Vinnie Greene is a Pontiac expert and does excellent work. Jim Taylor is one of the best, I've also had my car at his shop for help with my Qjet. He said Vinnie built a great engine. You can't go wrong with either.

Thanks for the replies. I was afraid I'd have to have the motor sent some distance, but i've now got three places nice and local.

Thanks again Ed
