Default stay away from ebayer lisabinrapid

I won the bid on an AFB in September and sent a money order ASAP as I always do. I just left negative feedback after 90 days because they never sent the carb after repeated emails, which they never answered, and two phone calls. Apparently these people will take your money and never send the item if they don't like the selling price. I won the auction at $10 which is cheap for an AFB nowdays. If the SOBs want a big price they should start with a minimum bid or put a reserve on it; not take peoples money and run.

Damn thieves if you ask me.

File a complaint with eBay and with Squaretrade. It's worked for me in the past (including as recently as yesterday). Also, Ebay has a standard protection policy that can refund you up to $200 if you're ripped off. Also, I am pretty sure that messing with money orders can be a federal offense, but do your homework first on this one.

Unfortunately I waited past the 60 day window before attempting to file a complaint with ebay and my complaint was therefore not accepted, and I did not pay for the item with Paypal. Therefore the two vehicles for getting a refund from other than the seller are not open to me. It's only $22 so I'll not go bankrupt. It's the gall of the scumbags who stole my money that irks me. They didn't answer repeated email. I had their phone number and during the process of making probably ten calls caught the man once and the woman once.
Both said they'd "take care of it". Yeah, right.

I'd still happy with ebay. Only two bad experiences in over 150 transactions now which is better than I can say for my utility co., phone co., insurance co., mortgage co., bank, etc, etc.

I feel your pain (really!), as I got robbed by rob64cart from Oshkosh, WI. Foolishly trusted his fdbk (despite a similar stunt in his fdbk histoire, pulled by him >1 yr ago) & shipped his item along with other paid items to save a trip to FedEx & got screwed for it. What's most galling is that he sniped an interested local (to me) bidder to steal them (fenderwells) from me, so now I can't even offer the item to the other guy. If you kept your money order receipt (which this rob64cart thief wants me to believe he failed to do TWICE) you should be able to pursue the scumbags for mail fraud or something, I'd think...

I'm not believing this but the carb showed up today via DHL. It could not have been sent as a result of my negative on ebay which was posted last Friday, so had to have been shipped by the wife after my telephone conversation with her on Saturday 12/3. When I spoke with her she asked for my email address and phone number, both of which I gave her. After a week with nothing in the form of communication I figured she blew me off again just like they had been blowing me off for three months.

All of this could have been prevented if she, or her husband before her, had just sent me an email or five (given the three months it took to get this darn AFB).

So I hereby modify my original message to say "Deal with ebayer lisabinrapid with great trepidation; it may become an experience you do not enjoy at all!"

Now I'll get on with my life.

61-63, you can try the Mutual Feedback Withdrawal link to settle with the seller. Did she flame you with negative feedback also?

I had a problem with a a guy back east named Earnest Mullins. I won a duel quad intake with two carbs for 500 with shipping. never got item or my $ back. Claimed it was sent , then was found damaged , then sent back to him, then claimed he would send it or refund $ , then changed his email address . I still have his cell # but he never answers it. Buy the time I let ebay know about it ,it was past the 90 days and no record of it in the system.

Default Problem ebayers

Anytime you have a problem with delivery of your part you should do the following within 30 days of auction end. Keep in mind how you paid for part. Many sellers will hold items paid by personal checks for up to 10 days.

1. If your item has not arrived 7 days after you made payment email seller asking about shipping/tracking info. Use a pleasant tone in your email.

2. If no response within 3 days of email - request their user info through ebay. This will send an email to both you and the seller with personal contact information including phone numbers.

3. Call the seller and ask about shipping/tracking info. If no answer, leave voicemail with your return phone number. Again not upset - yet.

4. After 14 days and no response/and or unsatisfactory response file an item not received report through Ebay and Paypal if applicable. (this must be done prior to 30 days after auction end)

5. Email/call seller right after filing claim. Express your concern of non-receipt of item. Ask when it will ship and get tracking numbers.

6. Follow through with fraud protection procedures before 30 days after auction end.

7. Dispute will not close unless you choose to close it. Collect any compensation allowed through ebay for any loss incured.

8. Leave negative feedback prior to 90 days after auction end, but wait until 89th day to avoid getting retalitory feedback.

Most people usually ship item after claim is opened through ebay. They know your serious and won't want a strike against them if the dispute is unfavorable. Any transaction over $250 is a Federal offense and the Interstate Commerce Commission may be a place to try also.

Good luck to all :)

61-63, you can go to follow-up on feedback page to state that your part arrived. After so much time had passed, I don't blame you for your negative feedback. However, I don't feel the "thieves" remark was necessary (which you have found to be not true).

Judge, I travel to Oshkosh quite often, tell the guy your sending somebody out to pickup whatever it is he owes you. Maybe we can get something out of him?

26667 I would be willing to withdraw my negative altogether if they would email me and ask me to do so, given that the part did arrive. That is if I could at this point (it is well over 90 days). But I will do nothing otherwise. Communications is the problem with these folks. I initiated probably ten communications with them trying to get them to send the carb. I never got any communications back other than the man saying he would send the carb when I caught him on the phone; which he did not do. The last call did get the wife to send the carb but she never said it was coming, and I gave her my phone number and email address during the call, and two days (I think it was) before the 90 day limit on leaving feedback it hadn't arrived so I left my feedback. I was pretty irritated as you can see by my first message in this thread.

Lets just let this thread move on down the page and out of view.
