Default Tire rack.

I always used there site just to compaire tire sizes.
I needed tires for my Chevy 3500 work truck and after getting a quote from the local Firestone dealer for $860.00 I decided to try Tire Rack. I got the tires delivered to my garage door for $500! Then another 75 for mounting, balancing and a greese job.
Very happy with my purchase.
I bought the 245/75-16 Firestone Transforce HT tires.
So far they seem like real nice tires.

I was also happy with them about three years ago. Don't remember all the details, but good service and did save money.

I have bought two full sets from them.
saved sales tax, state fees (disposal etc.) and had a friend mount and balance for free. As long as you dont mind dealing with the inconvience of the road hazard program or save money by not getting it at all, tire rack is the only way to go. Specifically in my case, it was the only way to get my set of tires in less than a week since they shipped a summer tire from
baton rouge to houston in two days. They weren't carrying these tires any more at any traditional places (discontinued model), so they really came through for me. If you don't see something listed, call them to make sure they don't have it. Even if you have to wait for them to ship from two warehouses(CA and LA) it's still pretty quick.
Of course the tires themselves are only going to be as good as the manufacturer makes them - tire rack can't make a bad tire better, and they sell some bad brands too...I didn't find their online review services too helpful, as the tires I love got some bad marks from idiots. Note the age, attitude, and vehicle-tire size when reading. A 215/60/15 is not going to perform as well as my 245/50/16 z rated...
