Default HELP: tranny dipstick wont fit

OK the TH400 is out of a '65 Grand Prix, my car is a '67 LeMans, the engine (perhaps this doesn't matter so much unless it sits further back in the compartment than the original...) is a '78 400. The '65 dipstick just doesn't seem to be angled quite right; the old transmission dipstick that went with the 326 isn't the same shape/angle. What to do?

Thanks
Randall

buy aftermarket or get the later model stick. post a photo of what you got and will see what ones I have that are different.

A 67 A body(GTO) filler tube is what you need. Not easy to find. Or buy the flexable type the street rodders use.

I have a 1976 long-tail th400 in my '67 Lemans. the dipstick tube is '76, and fits fine.
