Ill need a dash pad for my 68 tempest pretty soon. Anyone know where the cheapest place to find one is? If anyone has a used one they want to sell I would definitly consider that. My old pad was wasted and anything would be an improvment. I found them for like $325 in Legandary Auto Interiors. I thought that was alot. I thought I'd see where you guys bought them.
-thanks, matt

If you are interested in an inexpensive alternative, you can buy a dash cap
that goes over the top of your old pad. Although not suitable for a show car, they actually look quite nice once installed. They are about 79.00. |

I am also interested in the quality of the PY non AC 68 dash pad. Anyone have one out there?
Thanks, Randy

If you check ebay, you'll likely be able to pick up a "Nu-dash" hard plastic dash cap. This thing basically glues over your existing dash, and fits fairly good. I had to trim a litlle around my glove box, but other than that, you actually have to look real hard to tell it's a cap. Mines been on for over 2 years.
Best $79 bucks I spent on my GTO...saved me about $900 bucks to have "Just Dashes" re-do it. Mine's a driver...if she ever gets to show status, the dash will go to "just Dashes" for restoration. |

when I bough my '68 Tempest the owner had included a new Year One dash pad...complete crap it was, huge gaps and was very hard, unlike the real thing which is very soft. and was made of fiberglass or something. Nowhere near the quality of an original.
I'll be getting mine from Just Dashes. Want it done right. |
