Check the Ames and PY catalogs, someone is making a fiberglass heater box that replaces the a/c box under the hood. The new style one does not look stock (since it's bigger) but it covers all the holes in the firewall so your heater will still work. I've never used one or seen one in person but it sounds like just what you need. Let me know if you're selling any of the parts you remove from your car.

You will still need a filler plate or some other block-off plates - the non-A/C box doesn't quite cover all the holes!

I've got the American Graffiti piece on my GTO. Quality work.

I have done this very thing on my 72 firebird. The best thing to do is find a non ac car and gut all the pieces. The firewall will need to be filled. If you are not interested in the kickpanel vents or the side dash vents all you need to do is fill in the metal on the firewall that is open. You will need to pull the fender to do the job right. If you have anymore questions just ask and i will try to help.

Issach, I think I have all the stuff from the non ac car to do mine, the fender will be off of the car when I do it, What all do I need parts wise, I have the inside and outside boxes, and the controls. Is the ducting different, do you have any pics from your conversion, when I get around to doing it I will take pics and post them, I just want to make sure I have everything together when I do it.
Thanks again
