Default Performance Years RIPPED ME OFF at Englishtown today!

Ordered several hundred $$$$ of parts today and at their trailer I was told I would get 10% off my total bill since I was a memeber of supporting local GTO club and member of GTOAA. I only got half the parts I requested, was not offered free shipping on parts not available today like Ames offers, and to top it off, when I asked the little weasel in the trailer if he gave me my discount, he lied right to my face and said YES. Only after I got home did I realize I paid full list price as per the catalog.

Chris, I have been using you as my parts supplier for several years and even though I have not always been happy with the quality of the parts, you always did whatever was needed to keep my business. However, I was lied to today. I was not given the same discount as the person ahead of me who belongs to the same clubs as I do. This is NOT acceptable. I am asking you in front of this entire board to make good on this situation or I will be taking my business elsewhere and encouraging others to do the same.

Maybe you should call them and try to resolve it first before slamming PY on the board?

Sorry you feel you were taken...I'm sure PY will resolve the issue. Probably just a mistake, or misunderstanding.

My first thought here is-- have you and/or did you talk to any at PY before yoou made this post? IMHO I think you are way out of line here calling PY & Chris out infront this forum without talking to them one on one first and trying to resolve this issue. Yes I would be "hot" too, but I am enough of a businessman and have the tact to call PY and discuss this issue and ask that it be resolved and that i be treated fairly. The last thing I would do is call someone out in public and make irrational demands.......

Over the last two years I have purchased over $ 15K in parts from PY. Where there mistakes on discounts, shipping issues, and worng items? YES and you know what a simple phone call resolved each and everyone of them. Try being over a 1000 miles away and getting a worng or missing part and having to wait another week or more for the replacements to arrive... flustrating yes mad at PY-- NO.
From your comment about quality issues, it sounds to me that you had a chip on your shoulder to start with and things wnet down hill from there. You make a comment that Chris always did what ever it took to keep your business, well why did you not give him that opportunity again before you made the "BS" of a post.
If you put me in the position that you are putting Chris & PY.......my answer would be " don't let the door hit you in the a**.

This is my humble opinoin.......for what ever it is worth

Jagtec - Unfortunately, this was not a misunderstanding or a mistake - it was an outright lie. I had asked twice if the price charged and paid included the discount.

lkt1954 - Unfortunately, I do have a "chip on my shoulder" due to a number of recent poor dealings with PY with their CSRs on the phone, in person at their office and even with their mobile sales trailer at other events. I fail to see how wanting to be treated fairly and honestly is an "irrational demand". This incident is the "straw that broke to camel's back". So as a result, I felt the need to vent here and if Chris's door hits me in the rear then so be it. There are other vendors who have done well for me in the past and I am sure will continue to do well for me in the future.

Why would they outright lie to you? Is there some sort of personality conflict that would have caused an unprofessional business transaction between you and the salesperson?
Just trying to understand your complaint.

Funny,
Having a chip on your shoulder is hardly anyway to resolve an issue.
From your talk "No Supplier will ever make the grade to you"
I've been dealing with all the suppliers for many years.'
Only two have ever been truthful and willing to work with customers.
PY is one of them.

I'm fairely certain that most of the supplers doors have hit you on the way out already.
Stating that your a member of any of the clubs is intresting
Gtoaa? What is your club? (I definately dont want to be in your club)
Demanding the same as other venders? IE shipping? Um,

Sooo, what did PY have to say to you when you contacted them to resolve this before slamming them in this thread?

Default There are some people who will NEVER be pleased

With an attitude like this 69GTOJEFF has got it just serves to show that some people never fail in trying to set a lower bench mark in bad manners.

The time to slam people is AFTER all efforts at resolving what may in fact be a very simple misunderstanding have failed.

Pull your head in jerk. You simply don't deserve the right to be able to access this board.

Usually when i purchase from a vendor weather its on the phone or at a show, I do my homework as to what I am purchasing, study the catalog so I have a ballpark idea of pricing, and know the part #s , that way it makes everything go a lot quicker and smoother, no surprises that way, If you didnt realize that you were "screwed" until after you got home?, if you could make sure to let someone know about belonging to a club to get you "discount", you'd think you would of checked things over before leaving the vendor, just my 2cents.

Default Lock this thread Blackcat

This jerk doesn't deserve to use this board as a medium for his bad manners.

If I had your power as a moderator, I'd lock him out

Sorry to chime in after this topic was closed, but here is another vote that 69GTOJEFF handled this in a very inappropriate manner  ! You should be ashamed!

Jeff, Please e-mail me with your real name and the exact circumstances. It sounds like you know what I look like, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't me. Dave is 6' 7" tall, so that leaves Ed as the 'little weasel'. He's been with me for 15 years and no one has ever accused him of being a liar. A lot of crazy situations arise at shows. I can safely say that, your depiction of what happened this weekend did NOT happen the way you are depicting it.
