Thumbs up FINALLY after 9 1/2 years !!!

I have been working on this project for the last 9.5 years. 1962 Grand Prix pro-street. Here are a few pics I thought I would share. Motor is a 60 over 455. KRE 310 cfm heads. Stock crank, Eagle rods, Ross pistons, Crower cam. Torker II, Demon 850. Headers are Hedman, Pypes X over, Flowmaster mufflers. Motor made 550 hp and 580 ft lb. Turbo 400 trans, Continental 10 inch converter. 9 in rear Moser axles, Detroit Locker, 4:11 gear. 4 Link chassis from Chris Alston Chassisworks. Wheels are Centerline Warriors, 15 x 15 rear, 15 x 4 front. Mickey Thompson tires 33 x 21.5 rears. Color is Electric Green Metalic from 2000 Ford Mustang. Interior is done in green tweed and grey leather. Hood and deck lid are glass, cowl scoop. I have a few people to thank from the board. Kev at Tin Indian Perf., Jeff and Mark at KRE, and Cliff Ruggles for all their help with the motor and trans. I started it up and it moved under it's own power tonight. Just a few minor things to fix and I hope to take it out on the road this weekend. Ron

Holy friggin guano, Batman !! That is about the most wicked big car ride that I've seen in some time. Well worth the wait. Drop dead gorgeous. Eye-catching attention to detail - real craftsmanship.
Are you going to run it at the track?
Congratulations.

Thanks for the compliments. Now I have lots of cleaning and waxing to do. First cruise of the year is Sat. June 3rd at Summit Racing. Don't plan on racing this year. Someday it will have to go to the track. Interior was done by Marilynn at Miracles Upholstery in Akron OH. I gave her a few pictures for ideas and she did the rest. Pontiac arrowhead is in grey leather between the wheel tubs. Indian head color on the doors is airbrushed onto the leather.

62 is my favorite big car year, and i have to say that is the nicest i have ever seen, could only dream of having one that nice, excellent job, that has got to be future magazine material there. Is that a glass hood or factory modified?

Great work. That is an extremely sharp looking car. Great choices in color , engine, wheels, interior. Very tasteful.

Thumbs up Thanks

Thanks for all the nice comments. It has been a long time coming. Many late nights and times I was ready to throw in the towel. The car will be at Norwalk this year. The ultimate would be to have it make a magazine. The hood is aftermarket. It is from PJ Heck, here in Ohio. He posts on here from time to time. He owns the molds and has a company do them for him. It looks like the factory hood underneath. Ron
