Default Can anyone Identify this car?

I really like the charcoal color on this A Body. Does anyone know who's car it is...could it be a member's car? I'd like to find out what the paint code is for that color and use it on my 65 Cat. Thanks.

Any Outlaw Pontiac Drag Series (OPDS) members know who this belongs to? Don't you guys get a newsletter, and would the name be listed? I'm just asking.

j.C., I think the key word in your reply is "competent". LOL
I might give it a try, though. Thanks.

Ken Kobell was at the first OPDS race at Capitol and took a bunch of pictures there. Might post this on the OPDS site.

Thanks, Troy. Last night I was able to get up with Ken, but he didn't know the owner of the car. He also checked with OPDS and they didn't have any info either. On another subject, I love the picture of the big 60 yanking the front wheels, it's an awesome sight...way to go. I now use that picture as my screen saver. I owned a 60 ventura back in the 60s...it was coronado red with red interior, tri power, 4 speed, posi, and 8 lug wheels. I traded it in Nov 64 on a new 65 2+2. Damn, now I wish I kept all of those cars!!

Bob

I think you know what I'm looking for regarding shade. I don't want a bright silver, or a dark gray. I wish you could get some pictures of that car.

i would say its a bit darker than your originally pictured car, but you can always play with the amount of black in it to get it were you want. the thing i liked about it was that it had alot depth to it and showed the lines of the car very well, ill try and get some pics asap

looks to be base/clear on the car. i use dupont chromabase and the cheaper brand called Nason dupont sells. the metallic shades are nicer in the more expensive chromabase.

Hey Bob. I once owed a Coronado Red Ventura Sports Coupe myself. Had 8 lugs and motor up graded to a 363 HP...It was a 41,000 California car when I got it. Very nice car but I sold it as I was neglecting it in favor of the "Wheel Stander"....LOL
Hope to get the wheels up higher...
Thanks
Troy
