On my rear power antenna equipped car the fender had no hole or evidence of a plugged hole for the antenna. The antenna hole was simply omitted on the fender. Probably the same on radio delete cars.

Cool Sweet..

I have two sets of NOS fenders and they were not stamped with the hole. Also, recently viewed an original "delete" car...no hole. Sorry, dude! Get out the welder. Ron

It shouldn't be cheap - I'm the one who bid it to $307. and couldn't be here at the end because I was on my way back from Boston!

Uh, er, what is a 'radio delete'? I thougt all cars came w/o radio and it was an option? It is just me or did all who got radios in their cars have to pay for them? If they were free then I am going to write Pontiac and demand my $58 back (with interest of course).

Love to yank your chains on this. LOL

Thats great, I dont know all about delete cars, just that they were light wieght or less wieght with less options to go FASTER. Id love to see a phs or build sheet on a real one. Not sure if radio & clock delete were options to pay for or not. The parts & assembly & dissassembly had to cost something.

IM EXTREMELY CURIOUS NOW

Since your that curious I will have to put ya straight!! The deal is that a radio or a clock was a option that you had to pay for. I have found that usually only special ordered cars by a customer have radio deletes only because they thought one was standard or they wanted to buy their own and save the money. dealers usually ordered some options on the car to make them catch the eye of interested buyers on the lot. I also have found that most of the original Ram IV owners I have talked to always ordered a radio and believe it or not I have found that most of the RAM IV cars ive seen also had the 8 track player. There are exceptions where you find a true racer bought his car to race and race only but thats usually not the case. When I talked to the original owner of my RAM IV, I asked him why he ordered a vanity mirror on a car he strickly bought to race he said" Well my lady friend needed it when we went somewhere and it was only 2 bucks!" Its hard to get in anybodys head from 30+ years ago.

I ordered the AM radio because the ONLY radio station was AFRTS where I lived at the time, which was Kodiak, AK. It was an AM station and that was it. I did order the car it was not an off the lot purchase that some dealer ordered to fill up his lot. That car never saw the dealer's lot until it had about 5k miles on it. I brought it by just let him see the car I had ordered.
