New interior.......
My Fathers day gift was a pair of bucket seat covers, foams, carpet, padding and sound deadener. I was pleased to see upon removing the carpet that there was basically no rust. Some surface rust on one small spot on the trans tunnel. I've begun placing the sound deadener. It's hot in that car. Even in the basement.........

David that floor looks great after so many years. Are you putting down any rust treatment for the few little spots that are showing? What I really want to know is HOW you got such a killer Father's Day present? I need to do this same job on my GP but I have been avoiding it because it's so D*#% hot in the shop right now. I am waiting until October to start on it. Good Luck and post a pic when it's done.

David, amazed at how good the floor looks. May also be the first time in 27+ years it's seen light! Really cool.

I just had a similar pleasant surprise when I removed my carpet. 5 small spots of surface rust and the rest of the whole floor still has the original paint.
Sound deadener was all in place and still adhered to the floor and no sign that anything has ever even soaked into it except for the hydraulic fluid from a top cylinder leak on the passenger side. My tail lights on the other hand are a total goatrope. |

I never did find it. I simply can't find HPP on any newstand on the southside of Atlanta any longer.
I can find mags on Mustangs, Novas, Camaros, and any other kind of Chevy Ford or Mopar you can imagine but no Pontiac Enthusiast and no HPP.
