Default Is this about right for nitrous?

Took my 70 Judge to the track ran a best time of 13.91/97mph. Dropped a 125 shot of nitrous and ran a 12.59/108mph and then a 12.44/110mph. That's a decrease of 1.47 seconds. Is that a lot or about right? No traction problems and 60 ft went down each time.

On motor 1.98 and 1.96 and nitrous runs 1.97 and 1.89. I was a little gun shy on the first one as I had never run nitrous and it was first time out on a new torque convertor and rear end. I ran the motor up on the brake a lot harder on the 1.89 60 ft. Was getting 2.1 to 2.2 before the upgrades.

How soon were you able to hit the nitrous?
That's a very nice pickup, congrats!

It's activated at full throttle with a switch on the carb. Plugs looked good at the end of the run, not too lean or rich. I need more seat time with the new torque convertor. This is the second time I ever raced this car and the first time I have ever used nitrous. I did get the last and best run with a .065 RT. I'm just getting my feet wet on drag racing. I have to say that I really like the ET street radials. They are giving me great traction. I also like the Redneck Tight 3000 convertor. It dropped my 60 fts by .2. I didn't look at RPM's at the traps though, somehwere over my shift light set at 5600.

It's a .030 over 400 with 70 #13 heads and flat tops. Should be 10-10.5:1 compression. I'm currently running a CarterAFB 750 and the plugs(R43S) look good, but looking to upgrade it to a better carb(Cliff Q-jet or modified Holley 750). I have a Carter mechanical street pump, but have an electric pump that I plan on hooking up this week. I'll probably add it to the mechnical and activate it with the nitrous switch. I think my top end speed is a little low. I also have a new XE274 that's going in this winter. I'm just trying to get it running and get everything fixed. I put new coated Flowtech headers on, fixed the 4:10 posi, changed torque convertors, upgraded springs to Comp 995's, upgraded HEI module to MSD module with rev limiter and added a 125 shot plate.
