I installed PUI seat covers - very nice quality. I ordered mine through Camaro Central here in Lexington because PUI is based in Louisville, and there were no shipping charges. I have parchment pearl, so I had to wait a few weeks, but it was worth it. Black should be readily available.
I also purchased a complete seat of PUI door/quarter trim panels. Tom

What about the foam cushions; do they have them too? The previous owner had already covered my seats, but I don't think they replaced the cushions; the seats are soft and sit too low. I don't know why they would have done that, but that's the way it appears to be.

For foam, look for vendors selling American Cushion Industries products.

If you're looking for comfortweave look, PUI looks good and many vendors offer them. If you're looking for real comfortweave, you will have to locate the material and get them made. Note that it will cost a lot more.
Here's some info that I posted on my Comfortweave quest: http://www.geocities.com/jims68fb/Comfortweave.html |

UK,
I did not replace the foam - they were still decent. I did replace the side springs that tend to break. I am sure they also sell the seat foams - just make sure they are for the Firebird. Tom

I wonder if the springs are the problem with my seats. This winter, I hope to find out!

I agree, PUI for the seat covers (they are the best) and
American Cushion Industries for the seat foam, By FAR the best. When yu pull them out and start to take them apart, most likely you'll find one or two springs that need help, but it would be a good idea to replace the foam as you only want to do this (or have it done) once! Kustom! |

Be sure to look for your build sheets tucked up into the seat materials before you send the seats to an upholster. They are a nice find.
