Default how to identify a A body rear end

the rear end in my 65 gto is not the right one. it has the pipe sleaves were the springs sit. it is a posi ,I believe 323's ,10 bolt . the only numbers I can find on it are 1285197 and 116 .I'm going to measure the width as I believe the later years are wider. it has 7/8 ths wheel cylinders . anyway to tell what this came out of ?
