Hello, This weekend I got my hands on a nice set of Torq Thrust D's for my 70 Firebird. One problem, the grey center is painted bleu
. My bird is red so I want to polish the painted center, but the center is not that smooth. Anybody has experience with this???

to the Forums. The center caps are aluminum and can be polished by hand once you remove the paint. Try some laquer thinner to remove the paint and then polish the caps with Blue Magic or Simichrome(metal polish) applied on a soft rag. Les

Mother's is a good product also. Makes my aluminum drag stars look like mirrors.
