Question Windshield 'FIREBIRD'

Has anyone ever seen a 'decal' like this? It is on my 67 coupe and seems to be either painted on or individual letters stuck on. I am wondering if this was somekind of 'option', a dealer added item, or just something someone found at their local parts store many years ago.

Thanks

I'm sure that wasn't an option on your car.
That looks like some 3rd. gen firebird should have it.
get some glass cleaner and a razor blade and get it off.

I say it's something someone added. I've never seen anything factory like that.

I have a really low option 68 350 Bird that has both front windows etched with the Firebird Emblem. Yet, my high option 68 400 drop top, has none on the factory glass. Very strange.

There has been considerable talk and study done to try to understand what triggered the "bird glass". No correlation (options, dates, models, etc.) with anything so far has identified which cars got them and which did not. Anyone who knows that for sure would solve a great mystery.

Have it on my car, no way to know if it's original. It was a base convertible. The glass appears tinted though.

Windshield graphics like that were popular in the 80s, I never cared for them except for the PONTIAC windshield graphic that was given away at the Trans Am Territory at race tracks back then, anybody remember those?

Personally speaking. I find that large windshield stickers and bird crap have about the same apeal.
