Help, trying to rent a trailer to move my GTO, check with UHAUL and nothing is available this week, they say that they are hard to come by.
I'm in the middle of a resto, it rolls, but front fenders and hood are off. What I'd really like is to borrow one to make the move myself. Nothing too fancy just something to get all four wheels off the ground. I live in Fairfax, Va. near Dulles Airport and I'm moving to Harpers Ferry,WV. It’s a 1 hour drive (no traffic) June 29-July 10 thanks , Richard [email protected] |

They usually have a few lying around down here in C-Ville. I would try actually riding by a couple of locations. They make a really nice 16' that my friend used to haul his '67 SS 396 from NY to VA with. Easy loading, alum. etc.

No trailer yet . I will try again on Monday. I called Uhaul and talked to someone and he said they are hard to get. Thats a great idea about checking daily , I'll try driving by to and from work. Centreville is not that far, I'll try them too. Thanks !!

You might try other places that rent stuff. Ryder & Penske for example. Local area here has two rent-all places.... You know that rents anything from hand tools to heavy equipment. Might want to check the yellow pages, online ect. |

Your better off like RAIV55 said, check out equipment rental places, I needed one once to haul home a 74 grandville and U-Haul trailers weren't big enough. So I call the local equipment rental place and rented a diamond plate trailer big enough for that tank.

The local car wash used to rent a Tow Dolly for $25 a day!It was new and most any car fit on it.Went there one day to rent it and they said we don't rent them any more.
Boy was i bummed,Cost me $175 to move 2 cars 20 miles!Thats why i'm looking to buy a truck,we have a trailer at work i can use. The rental places are the way to go if you have any around your area.
