Disapointed, I have a '65 Tempest wagon, was looking to see another wagon.
Tired of seeing your dime a dozen GTO's!!!

I use a free downloadable program called Irfanview to resize photos, but you should be able to do it using the MS Paint program that's already on your computer (assuming you have a PC.) Another quick and dirty way is to email the photos to yourself, your Outlook Express should have a feature where it will reduce the size of the photos if desired.

Not a '65, but my '69 Bonnie isn't "dime a dozen".

I love to see the unusual and odd. GTO's are great but at shows I'm always drawn to the cars that are different.

and a few more. Not got back the AM conversion yet...Check out the Vintage Air backlit AC controls-I had a Pontiac fan (John Samide from Chowchilla, CA) with a 65 GTO mill the old AC control from a 65 GTO and make a black anodized plate to use over the bezel for the aftermarket AC control head (no non-functional sliders!!) I wanted to use the factory A/C vents-haven't done the lower vents vet-thats what the duct there is for.

What cha all think???

I filled the firewall with a patch and smoothed it to look factory, then I passed the AC hoses through where the old blower fan was. Hoses are hidden under the right fender. For the Sanden compressor I modded an original aluminum AC bracket (from a 68 Bonneville) and for the AC shroud I used one off a 64 AC Star Chief (with slight mod). Car has a AC clutch and 7 blade fan-never runs hot.

Also I used the Viton rear seal- no leaks anywhere whatsoever!!

Just drove it 120 miles today-17 mpg at 60-65 mph!!! LOVE IT!!!

Thumbs up I love it.

Super-clean '64 Tempest wagon.

Love the white exterior/red interior combo.

The '64 Deluxe wheelcovers and 14" narrow whitewalls look absolutely perfect on it.

Nice looking engine, the chrome air cleaner top ala '64 GTO is a nice touch.

Definitely one of the best.

Wow! That is a nice wagon!
I can't remember the last time I saw a '64 A-body wagon, let alone one that clean.

Coming from Bman I am COMPLETELY pleased- he helped me in the past on classical pontiac website with things such as shortening the driveline to accomodate the TH400 tranny, moving the crossmember back 6 inches, cooling lines for the tranny. He REALLY knows 64s!! Bman, in the back seat (the fold down part) I found a PERFECT original build sheet, it was inside the rear seat, so it's got the original ink/color-it looks brand new-I had it laminated... Also it's an original black plate car, no salvage title...I bought it from the 2nd owner. First owner (Mildred) was an older lady who passed away-the gardener loved the car and got it for $500 back in 95 or so, I bought it in 99, after it was stored under a tree for 4 years. I tried to have it cosmetically stock, yet restored it to drive daily on our freeways. I added 6 seatbelts for all 6 passengers (were only 2 front ones originally) and had Dynamat put all over the inside of the car. I kept the original single exhaust to keep it quiet-I have 3 kids. We all really enjoy it!

Cool Glad I could help out a fellow '64 A-body enthusiast!

I was thinking that you were likely the same felllow that I had offered info to on the CP site.

Good to see you here, and I hope you'll stick around.

After all, this IS the best Pontiac site on the planet.

Bart

Is that the original red seat upholstery? It sure looks nice.

Someday I would like to get the original aqua seats redone in my white '64 Tempest coupe, but they don't repop the seat covers for the Tempest. Looks like I'll have to pay some big $$ if I want the seats to look factory original again.
