Default Auto Salvages in Phoenix, AZ

Hey all,

I don't know if this is the best place to post this, but I was at a few auto salvage yards yesterday and I was a little surprised at what I found.

I went to 3 yards. I found items that were of interest in two of them.

The first:
Pull A Part Auto Parts
2501 W Buckeye Rd
Phoenix, AZ 85009-5745
(602) 272-6785

- There was a Primer Grey 1975 firebird in the very back with a 250 L6 and Manual transmission!

The second:
Phoenix
320 S. 27th. Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85009. (602) 233-2277
(Just Look for the BIG RED Water Tower)

-There was a metallic Green 1974 LeMans. The body was perfect and the 350 in it looked fresh. Interior wasn't too good, but I've seen worse. I don't know why it ended up there!

-There was a white 1975 or 76 Bonneville. The body had a few dents and I don't know what kind of motor it had, looked to be a 400 with 5H heads!

-There were two 1977 Catalinas with 301s.

Bottom line, once these cars go into the yards, they come out in cubes! I'm sure there are tons of parts on those cars that we could use. I took what I needed, but I know someone in the Phoenix area could try and take as much of these cars as possible before they are gone forever! I don't know if these yards ship parts. They were both pull-a-part yards.

I wish I had more room in my house!

So once again, go get `em while the gettin' is good!

Bump...don't let these cars get crushed without thoroughly picking them over first!

Actually, the weather is spectacular here. It was in the low 70s and overcast on Sunday. Dry, but not hot!

Henry,

How complete was the Firebird ??

Nice to see a local guy here. Been here 4 years and still don't have any friends that share my love for the cars. Love to see your car sometime...

Cheers !

Kerry. You've got a PM.

From what I recall, the car wasn't terribly cannibalized yet. I'm sure some stuff had been taken from it. The air cleaner and some belt-driven accessories were missing. I know the motor and carb were present and I saw a shifter sticking out of the trans tunnel. I think the transmission was there. Body looked to be complete. I guess in a yard full of 80s and 90s cars people aren't going to mess with a `75 too much.

I believe the front one was intact...didn't check the rear.
