I am looking for a 79 403 ac compressor,brackets,and all lines to the first connection.Would the compressor only work from alot of other v8 cars of that era.

the compressor was used on many years and different GM makes and models. You can easily buy a new or rebuilt one from a local auto parts store. Just tell them what car you want it for.
The 403 brackets will have to bought used. They are a little hard to find, but sometimes they show up on eBay, or place a parts wanted posting here and at www.transamcountry.com .
Maybe somebody parting out a 403 TA will see you everything. If necessary, new a/c lines can be made by an a/c place.
