What year is your car? The rear seat console was an option for certain years. They are also fairly rare (and valuable) if original. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the rear seat console were available for a few years from the early 70's through the mid 70's models.

Rear Console (D58) was available on ALL Firebird models from 71-77 & in 1972 cost a WHOPPING $26.00.

I don't know if "rare" is appropriate, but they are definately "uncommon".

One of our Forum Members here made a limited run of reproductions & I believe he had some posted here for sale recently.

$1200.00 dollars MAY seem like a lot of money,BUT a NICE 1971 T/A (all original will command 50K & a 77 Y82 likely 35K)
The $1200.00 doesn't sound like that much anymore, does it?

Take your $1200 to the new car dealer & try buying some parts for your late model (just out of warranty) Diesel Dually) and you'll see what a good deal an NOS ($1200) rear console is!
