Default Air Compressor

I know this isn't necessarily Pontiac related, but I have been trudging away at my project without the convinience of an air compressor. My budget is small so I'd obviously like to get the best deal possible. Back to the point: Would you buy an air compressor from Harbor Freight tools?

Depends on how soon you can afford to buy another one! :)

Seriously, if you're only going to use it for the occasional power tool, it's probably not going to wear out THAT fast. If you're wanting something to use for grinding or sanding or painting for hours on end, you might be better off sacrificing something else so you can get a better one.

I have a decent I-R from Home Depot that is quiet enough to work around all day without annoying you; some of the cheaper direct drive compressors will have you running for your ear muffs as soon as they kick on.

Figure out what you're going to be using it for and how many CFM you'll need, then compare your options.
