Default Familiar CanAm to some (check it out Rich!!!)

This was posted on the Yahoo CanAm site.

Anyone in this group sell your Can Am at Carlisle
today?
I saw a concourse Can Am in the car corral area this
afternoon and according to the guy in the next space
the car was surrounded by spectators immediately and
he believes that it sold for the asking price of
$29,500.00 . If that is true then that one beat out
the Barrett Jackson sale which I believe was the
previous record holder at $23,000 and change. I have
to tell you all that this Can Am was absolutely
gorgeous. All the body lines and seems lined up, all
of the rubber weather stripping was brand new, the
bumper strips were perfect, the chrome was top show
quality, even the tail light bezel chrome was
impecable. I believe that it was even nicer than when
it rolled off of the showroom floor. It also had a 4
speed conversion done to it with the correct shifter,
console and boot and looked every bit as factory as
the rest of the car. It also had an in-dash tach and
an 8-track with the clock below the radio. This car
was absolutely stunning. It had the red interior w/
white seats and once again an outstanding job of
restoration. Most of what I saw today at Carlisle was
overpriced by at least 50% but this car was worth
every penny paid. It seems that people are finally
beginning to take notice of the Can Am and are showing
some it the respect it deserves. IT'S ABOUT TIME!! If
anyone in this group was the seller, my hat is off to
you. Congratulations on a job well done!! If not then
I'm sorry that you all missed out on seeing this one.
I wish I had my camera with me but I didn't.

This is Rich's (WW3) former CanAm. He sold it shortly after Norwalk. It is an amzing example of what a CanAm with a factory 4 speed should have been.
Rich, thanks again for the oppurtunity to drive that awesome CanAm at Norwalk!!!

Hear, hear! Rich tossed the keys to me as well. Man, what a sweet ride...too bad he sold it just so it could turn around and be resold. I hope this new owner is a Pontiac fan, and doesn't just turn it around again. It's far too nice of a car to be handed around like that.

Why did they name this town Port Saint Lucie, when there's no port at all here?
