Question How Many '81 T/A's silver on silver? My new Silverbird

Hi there,

I just bought an '81 Trans Am Turbo WS6 T-Top car wearing it's original silver paint on silver interior (no bird decal on the hood)
Car is an original export car with 114.000 kilometers on the odometer.

I've never seen this combo before.
Except on the Tenth Anniversary Trans Am's, but they have red linings in the interior along with them Firebirds in the backrests.

Most of the T/A's I've seen are either black/brown/gold or red.
I've seen a few silver ones but they had mostly black interiors.

Unfortunately the 301 Turbo is gone, but it has a nice 400 instead which I don't mind either. (Might be a nice car for a mild 462...)
Turbo wheels have been replaced with the wide Snowflakes (which I REALLY LOVE!!)

Anyway, I liked it so much I've bought it, even though it was pretty expensive.
Gonna pick it up in a week or two.

Don't know about any numbers but thats one dang good looking car. Don't blame you for buying it, I would have wanted it too.

During the repaint on my car, we sprayed the whole car silver first. It looked so good I was tempted to leave it that way. It is a 10th anniversary and I had all the OE decals done bought so had to go ahead with the two tone and finish it.

Seeing your pics reminded me of that day and how my 10th came so close to being left silver on silver.

Thumbs up

Nice car, I think silver is a perfect color for a '79-'81.
