Distrib 1964
I also think that D 20 is close but I have seen the 28th. Everything, I mean everthing, is dated in to May on my car. I have disassembled the AC boxes and I was amazed that E 64 is even there as well as the blower motor. I am sure that GM was telling Buick, olds, Pont, to sell the cars first!!! As you know, Chev out sold all of the sub lines, as much as 6 to one. I will try and help and get you the numbers from my distribs.
As a side note, I grew up hearing tales that engine cast iron was green as a casting and needed to lanquish for at least 4 months prior to machining. This actually was true and happened during the 1800`s thru the 50`s. Chrome was added and speeded up the process. You can find a Chevelle SS396 with a block cast date some 3 months before final assembly. Buicks and Olds will have cast dates of engine componets with in a month of final assembly, actually less than 30 days in many cases.
